A corporate event is the best way to integrate employees and improve the atmosphere in the office. Its preparation may seem like a complicated and time-consuming task, but a good action plan will allow you to deal with it quickly. What is worth remembering when organizing a corporate event?
What is the purpose of the event?
The first step should be to define the goal of the event - what we want to achieve through it - and the next one to prioritize tasks. Introducing new hires to the rest of the team requires focusing on the entertaining aspect of the event as it is much easier to network in a relaxed atmosphere. By rewarding specific people for goals that have been achieved above the program, the employer expects other employees to feel motivated to act and improve their results. Team building events, on the other hand, are designed to improve communication and effective cooperation between individual departments. The least effective are occasional meetings, e.g. Christmas or Easter meetings, which do not have a specific goal and employees usually leave them quickly.
Company event at the hotel
One of the most important tasks when organizing a corporate event is choosing the place where it will take place. It should be large enough to accommodate all employees, as well as elegant and well connected with the city. A hotel is an excellent choice, which not only has spacious rooms equipped with modern audiovisual equipment - incl. pull-down screen, projector, sound system or microphone - and professional lighting, but also offers many additional services. You can, among others, order catering including desserts and drinks, rent accommodation and transport for event participants, use the support of an experienced coordinator and book various attractions, e.g. a pool table or a dance floor. Hotels often organize creative educational workshops as well.
The most important and, at the same time, the most difficult element to organize an integration event is entertainment. There are many possibilities: from live bands and DJs, through original games - e.g. laser paintball, bowling, boules - to cooking together, competitions and so-called talent show. When choosing additional attractions, you should take into account, among others the available budget, the atmosphere in the company and the age of the employees. Conservative people will not respond well to comedians telling jokes and tasks that require improvisation, while the young band will be happy to take part in a karaoke competition or a joint search for treasures. Before making the final decision, it is worth knowing the preferences of individual employees and choosing a solution that will satisfy most of them.
